PLSS Map

http://nationalatlas.gov/articles/boundaries/a_plss.html

PLSS maps are used to split public domain lands. They do this to help benefit the citizens in that particular area. Its a way to subdivide and describe land in the united states.
This map conveys the baselines and Principals meridians used to survey the states. This map shows a clear image and idea of how the PLSS system is used to mark out the states of the united states.
